South Korea’s Huons Group hosted a delegation of medical professionals from China’s Jilin Province as part of a bilateral exchange program aimed at promoting collaboration in medical aesthetics and healthcare technologies.

The company said Wednesday that it participated in the K-Beauty Advanced Skill Training (KAT) Workshop, organized by the Seongnam Industry Promotion Agency, which invited healthcare professionals from Jilin Province to explore South Korea’s medical aesthetics industry and clinical expertise.

As part of the workshop, three Huons Group affiliates—Humedix, Huons Meditech, and Huons Biopharma—were selected as key participating companies and presented their core businesses, technologies and product portfolios.

The visiting medical professionals toured the facilities and reviewed products firsthand, gaining insight into South Korea’s advanced medical aesthetics ecosystem.

Humedix entered the Chinese medical aesthetics market after becoming the second South Korean company to obtain regulatory approval in China for a hyaluronic acid dermal filler in 2015. Since then, the company has expanded its presence through its HA filler brand Elravie, building relationships with local healthcare providers.

Huons Meditech, a developer of aesthetic, surgical and therapeutic medical devices, highlighted its portfolio, including Dermashine, a skin drug-delivery system that has recorded cumulative sales of more than 10,000 units in China. The company also recently secured Chinese regulatory approval for its Premium 9-Pin Needle device.

Leveraging its product portfolio, Huons Meditech continues to expand its presence in China and other international markets.

Huons Biopharma showcased its botulinum toxin business, which has become a key component of the company’s global expansion strategy. The company recently received regulatory approval in China, strengthening its foundation for further growth in the market.

Huons Group said it has spent roughly a decade building business operations and local networks in China’s medical aesthetics sector and has continuously expanded cooperation with Chinese healthcare professionals. The latest visit was designed to introduce the group’s integrated capabilities across medical aesthetics, medical devices and biopharmaceuticals while exploring future partnership opportunities.

“Huons Group is expanding its global presence based on the technological expertise and business capabilities it has accumulated across medical aesthetics, medical devices and biotechnology,” a company representative said. “We hope this visit will further strengthen exchanges with Chinese medical professionals and create new opportunities for collaboration.”

Separately, Humedix recently hosted the Arke Hands-on Seminar in Busan, attended by more than 40 healthcare professionals, where it presented clinical data on Arke, a chitosan-based wound dressing product.

Arke utilizes plant-derived, low-molecular-weight water-soluble chitosan and is designed to protect areas where the skin barrier has been compromised. Clinical studies have demonstrated potential antibacterial, antifungal, anti-inflammatory and wound-healing benefits, as well as possible applications in scalp care.
