DeepNoid to Present 8 Medical AI Studies at KCR, Targeting Clinical Applications

DeepNoid said Sept. 4 that it will participate in KCR 2026, the annual meeting of the Korean Society of Radiology, from Sept. 9 to 12 at Exhibition Hall 2 of KINTEX in Goyang, Gyeonggi province, where it will present research achievements related to medical artificial intelligence (AI).

DeepNoid will present a total of eight research abstracts at the conference, including three oral presentations and five poster presentations. The studies focus primarily on chest and brain imaging and examine the diagnostic assistance effects and image analysis performance of medical AI.

In the field of chest imaging, the company will present four studies using chest X-rays and computed tomography (CT). The research analyzes the effects of AI-assisted double reading after an initial interpretation on the sensitivity for key findings and interpretation time, while also presenting research results on the use of generative AI to draft preliminary reports for chest X-rays.

In brain imaging, the company will present four additional studies. These include research using DeepNoid’s DEEP solution to detect small cerebral aneurysms on magnetic resonance angiography (MRA), as well as studies examining improvements in inter-reader agreement and interpretation time. Research on white matter hyperintensity (WMH) segmentation and improving MRA image quality will also be presented.

A luncheon symposium will also be held during the conference. The session, scheduled for Sept. 11, will be titled “The Future of Neurovascular Imaging: DEEP and Advanced MR Angiography.” Lee Ah-reum, a professor at Soonchunhyang University Bucheon Hospital, will chair the session, with Jung Seung-chae, a professor at Asan Medical Center, serving as a presenter.

At its exhibition booth, DeepNoid will showcase M4CXR, a generative AI-based solution for drafting preliminary chest X-ray reports; DEEP, a diagnostic assistance solution for cerebral aneurysms; and DEEP BrainSeg, a solution for automated segmentation and quantification of brain structures.

M4CXR, in particular, is a product approved as a generative AI medical device and was recently supplied to Pohang Semyung Christian Hospital, expanding its application to private general hospitals. BrainSeg also recently received approval from the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety.

DeepNoid has recently expanded its business to apply medical imaging AI solutions in clinical settings, including obtaining approval for AxonFlow, medical software designed to support remote radiology interpretation.

Choi Woo-sik, CEO of DeepNoid, said, “Through KCR, we will share the medical AI research achievements we have accumulated in chest and brain imaging. We will continue to expand the development and commercialization of medical AI solutions that can be used in clinical settings.”

Meanwhile, DeepNoid began as an AI-focused company founded in 2008 and has expanded its business around AI solutions that assist with diagnosis and interpretation based on medical imaging. The company changed its name to DeepNoid in 2017 and established an AI-affiliated research institute to build its foundation for medical AI development. It has since expanded beyond medical AI into industrial AI, including automated X-ray interpretation for airport security screening.
