L&C Bio is ramping up efforts to introduce its human dermis-derived implant, Re2O, to the Thai market. Following local medical device approval, the company is expanding academic exchanges with healthcare professionals as part of its pre-launch strategy.

L&C Bio announced on October 30 its participation in the 36th Annual Joint Conference of the Thai Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons and the Thai Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (ThPRS·ThSAPS 2026), held in Bangkok from October 28 to 30.

This international academic event was co-hosted by the Thai Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons and the Thai Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons. L&C Bio showcased the properties of human tissue-based materials and clinical application considerations while fostering academic dialogue with local medical experts.

On October 29, Dr. Bae Jae-hyun, director of Airumi Plastic Surgery, delivered a presentation on the characteristics of acellular dermal matrix (ADM)-based materials and their clinical applications. He detailed material selection criteria based on treatment objectives and target areas, as well as product-specific features and application techniques.

This academic initiative aims to strengthen connections with Thai medical professionals ahead of Re2O’s launch. In September, L&C Bio secured Class 4 medical device approval from the Thai Food and Drug Administration (Thai FDA) for both Re2O and Re2O Fine. The company is currently organizing an official launch symposium and collaborating with local partners to establish product supply and distribution networks.

Re2O is an extracellular matrix (ECM) implant derived from acellular human dermis (hADM), processed into microparticles. It contains dermal ECM components such as collagen and elastin, distinguishing it from existing hyaluronic acid (HA) or polynucleotide (PN)-based products in terms of origin and composition.

Thailand is considered a key aesthetic medical market in Southeast Asia. According to Kasikorn Research Center data, the Thai cosmetic and aesthetic medical market is projected to reach approximately 75.2 billion THB (about 2.22 billion USD) by 2025. The U.S. Department of Commerce’s International Trade Administration (ITA) estimates that around 7,000 aesthetic medical clinics operate in the country.

Global market research firm Grand View Research forecasts that the Thai skin booster market will grow from 28.8 million USD in 2025 to 85.4 million USD by 2033, with an expected annual growth rate of 14.6% from 2026 to 2033.

L&C Bio plans to expand product training and supply discussions with local medical professionals, using Thailand as a strategic gateway to the Southeast Asian market.

A company spokesperson stated that with formal approvals secured in Thailand and the upcoming official launch symposium, it’s seeing growing interest and inquiries from local medical professionals. It aims to accelerate the Thai market penetration by enhancing academic exchanges, intensifying product training, and establishing a robust supply system.

Meanwhile, L&C Bio reported standalone revenue of 55.4 billion KRW (41.3 million USD) in the first half of this year, a 78.4% increase from the same period last year. Operating profit surged by 589.7% to 15.3 billion KRW (about 11.4 million USD).

Notably, first-half sales of the human tissue ECM product Re2O reached approximately 23.6 billion KRW (about 17.6 million USD), more than tripling the previous year’s annual sales.

In China, the company obtained import sales approval for Megaderm Plus in January last year, commenced local sales this January, and applied for local production approval in March.
