Chef Lee Hasung, known as the Culinary Monster, made a guest appearance on “Chef Ahn Sung-jae” YouTube channel.
On Wednesday afternoon (South Korean time), the channel featured a video with Lee Hasung, the runner-up from Netflix’s reality show Culinary Class Wars: Season 2.
During the episode, Anh Sung-jae and the Culinary Monster explored some of Lee’s favorite eateries. Lee Hasung, originally from the U.S., shared updates on his current endeavors, revealing he’s in the process of opening a restaurant in New York. With a touch of humor, he admitted that he’s still figuring things out.
Lee Hasung disclosed that construction is in its final stages, with a target opening in early March. He playfully addressed rumors about his inability to walk freely in New York, quipping that he tries to steer clear of K-Town. As Lee Hasung expressed his pre-opening jitters, Ahn Sung-jae offered some sage advice from his own experiences: The opening process is the most thrilling part. It’s a precious time you’ll always remember.
The Culinary Monster mentioned that his hiring process has begun, with over 500 resumes flooding in. He attributed this overwhelming response to his TV appearance, saying that he’s thankful for all the interview requests coming in.
