The Devil Wears Prada 2, directed by David Frankel, is set to debut on Disney+.

Walt Disney Company Korea announced on Wednesday that The Devil Wears Prada 2 will begin streaming on Disney+ today, just three months after its global theatrical premiere on July 29.

The sequel reunites Miranda, the iconic fashion magazine editor, with Andy, who returns as a creative editor after two decades. They cross paths with Emily, now an executive at a luxury brand, as the trio navigates the drastically altered media landscape, risking everything to reclaim their fashion industry dominance.

Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt, and Stanley Tucci reprise their roles as Miranda, Andy, Emily, and Nigel, respectively. The film also sees the return of director David Frankel and screenwriter Aline Brosh McKenna from the original production team.

Costumes play a pivotal role in the film, serving as a visual narrative for character development and identity. Meryl Streep contributed ideas for Miranda’s wardrobe, while Anne Hathaway donned over 47 different outfits. The movie showcases a parade of luxury brands, including Dior, Chanel, Saint Laurent, Loewe, Dolce & Gabbana, Jean Paul Gaultier, and Armani.

Lady Gaga lends her star power to the project with both music contributions and a cameo appearance. She features on three tracks: “Runway” with rapper Doechii, “Shape of a Woman,” and “Glamorous Life.” The iconic “Vogue” by Madonna, which appeared in the original film, makes a comeback in this sequel.

The Devil Wears Prada 2 follows up on the beloved 2006 film, bringing together the original cast, director, and screenwriter after a 20-year hiatus. The movie first graced South Korean theaters last April before its streaming debut.
