The K-pop group CORTIS has achieved a remarkable feat by selling out their first solo concert in Japan, following successful shows in South Korea and North America. This continued success comes despite facing criticism for their debut performance in Korea, showcasing their enduring global appeal.

HYBE’s music label Big Hit Music announced on Tuesday that CORTIS’s inaugural tour, 2026 CORTIS TOUR IN JAPAN, has completely sold out all performances. The concerts, scheduled from August 4 to 6 at the Kanagawa Pia Arena MM, saw overwhelming demand during both the membership lottery and general ticket sales. The high demand even led to additional standing tickets being released, which were quickly snapped up by eager fans.

This latest achievement means CORTIS has now sold out their entire first tour, encompassing 14 performances across nine cities. The tour kicked off with a show at Incheon’s Inspire Arena in July, followed by sold-out dates in North America and Seoul for August, which were fully booked during the fan club pre-sale. For a rookie group that debuted less than a year ago, this string of sold-out shows across Asia and North America is a testament to their meteoric rise and unparalleled momentum in the industry.

CORTIS is set to embark on their North American tour, starting August 4 in Toronto. The tour will take them to major cities including New York, Atlanta, Irving, Los Angeles, and San Francisco. To cap off their successful year, the group will celebrate their first anniversary with fans at the 2026 CORTIS TOUR BIRTHDAY PARTY on August 22 and 23 at Korea University’s Hwajeong Gymnasium in Seoul.

It’s worth noting that CORTIS faced some controversy during their opening concert in Incheon. Fans criticized the show for repeating songs like “REDRED” and “YOUNG CREATOR CREW” multiple times and for its short duration of less than two hours. Many attendees felt the performance didn’t justify the steep ticket price of over 140,000 KRW (approximately 89 USD). However, the group seemed to take this feedback to heart, as their second show saw significant improvements. They incorporated fan song requests and extended the performance time to over two hours, demonstrating their commitment to delivering a high-quality experience for their supporters.
