(G)I-DLE’s Miyeon has finally unveiled a snippet of her first Japanese solo track.
Cube Entertainment, the group’s agency, released a teaser video for Miyeon’s debut Japanese digital single “RUN AWAY” on September 9th at midnight through (G)I-DLE’s official accounts. The video showcases Miyeon dashing through Tokyo’s bustling streets under clear blue skies, accompanied by an upbeat rhythm and refreshing lyrics that promise to beat the summer heat.

“RUN AWAY” blends modern rock-inspired band sounds with Miyeon’s powerful vocals and intricate guitar melodies. As the track progresses, her impressive vocal range and the layered arrangement create a profound sense of liberation.

For her first original Japanese release since debut, Miyeon took an active role in penning the lyrics, demonstrating her musical prowess. She aims to captivate her official fan club, Neverland, with her signature refreshing charm and authentic style.

“RUN AWAY,” Miyeon’s first Japanese original single, is set to drop on major music platforms worldwide on August 10 at midnight.

(G)I-DLE, the K-pop powerhouse Miyeon belongs to, made their debut in 2018 and has since skyrocketed to fame with hits like “TOMBOY,” “I Never Die,” “QUEENCARD,” “NXDE,” “LATATA,” “LION,” and “화(HWAA).” The group is gearing up to wrap their world tour with grand finale performances at Macau’s Galaxy Arena on August 29 and 30.
