Christopher Nolan’s epic Odyssey has dominated the box office for a full week, showcasing its staying power with audiences.

The Korean Film Council’s integrated ticketing system reported on Wednesday that Odyssey drew in 236,229 viewers on Tuesday alone, solidifying its reign at the top. The film’s total audience has now reached an impressive 2,368,657.

Since its debut on August 5, Odyssey has held the number one position for five straight days. It hit the million-viewer milestone on August 9, just four days after opening, and surpassed 2 million viewers on Monday, its fifth day in theaters.

The film follows the legendary hero Odysseus (Matt Damon) on his perilous journey home after the decade-long Trojan War. As he battles to return to his devoted wife Penelope (Anne Hathaway) and son Telemachus (Tom Holland), the story unfolds against a backdrop of mythical adventures. This latest offering from acclaimed director Christopher Nolan, known for blockbusters like Interstellar, Dunkirk, Tenet, and Oppenheimer, has already captivated over 36 million viewers in South Korea alone.

In second place, Spider-Man: Brand New Day swung into theaters with 151,905 viewers on the same day, bringing its total audience to 6,242,899.

Rounding out the top three, the animated feature Teenieping: Legend of the Whale Heartstone reeled in 19,209 viewers, with its cumulative audience reaching 472,425.
