Rosé emphasized the significance of the milestone, stating that these past ten years, growing alongside Blinks and cherishing the bond, mean the world to her. She had envisioned August 8 as a day of pure joy and celebration for all of them. She’s truly sorry it didn’t live up to those expectations.

It was incredible to reconnect with the fans all after so long, and she wants to extend both her thanks and her apologies, Rosé said. However, the agency initially stated that only some members would attend due to scheduling conflicts.
This announcement exacerbated existing fan frustration over the lack of substantial anniversary celebrations. The short notice and the prospect of an incomplete lineup for such a significant milestone led to widespread disappointment among the BLACKPINK fandom.
In response to the backlash, YG Entertainment clarified to News1 on August 7 that all four members – Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa – would indeed participate in the anniversary event.
BLACKPINK, who debuted on August 8, 2016, has risen to global stardom with hit tracks like “Whistle,” “Playing with Fire,” “DDU-DU DDU-DU,” “Pink Venom,” “Shut Down,” and “Lovesick Girls.” While the group recently extended their contract with YG for collective activities through 2024, each member is now pursuing individual projects through separate agencies.
