Winter, a member of the K-pop girl group aespa, is set to return to Jamsil Stadium for a ceremonial first pitch after a two-year hiatus.

The Doosan Bears announced on Wednesday that Winter has been chosen to throw out the first pitch at their upcoming home game against the Kiwoom Heroes in the 2026 Shinhan SOL KBO League. The game is scheduled for August 28 at Seoul’s Jamsil Stadium.

This marks Winter’s return to the Jamsil mound in a Doosan uniform, following her previous appearance in July 2024 for a game against Kiwoom.

aespa recently launched their fourth world tour, SYNK: COMPLæXITY, which kicked off in Seoul on August 7. The group is set to continue their global performances until February 2027.

As aespa continues to make waves internationally, Winter’s decision to take the mound once again stems from her special fondness for the Doosan team.

She’s thrilled and nostalgic to be back throwing the ceremonial pitch after two years, Winter shared. She hopes to channel positive energy to help Doosan secure a victory.

As of now, the Doosan Bears hold a record of 59 wins, 4 ties, and 50 losses, placing them fifth in the league standings.
