K-pop group TWS has once again demonstrated their global appeal by securing another Gold Disc certification from the Recording Industry Association of Japan.

The association announced on Thursday that TWS members Shin-yu, Do-hoon, Young-jae, Han-jin, Ji-hoon, and Kyung-min have achieved Platinum status for their second Japanese single, “SODA SODA.” The track surpassed 250,000 cumulative shipments in August, marking TWS’s second consecutive Platinum certification following their debut single “Nice to see you again.”

Released last month, “SODA SODA” captures the effervescent moments of youth. The single made an impressive debut, topping the Oricon Daily Single Chart on its release day and selling 225,853 copies in its first week, setting a new personal best for the group in Japan.

TWS continues to gain momentum through local live performances and television (TV) appearances. After shows in Osaka and Fukuoka, the group is set to bring their tour energy to Kanagawa on September 12 and 13.

TWS made their debut in January 2024 with their mini-album Sparkling Blue and have been actively promoting since. Their debut track, “plot twist,” recently hit a milestone on YouTube Music, surpassing 200 million views in July.
