BTS is shattering records at major National Football League (NFL) stadiums across the U.S.
On Wednesday, Billboard, the leading American music publication, released rankings for concert sizes and box office performances at 30 NFL stadiums nationwide.
The report reveals that BTS’s ongoing BTS WORLD TOUR ARIRANG, which kicked off in April, has been dominating charts for both highest revenue and largest audience numbers at numerous large venues throughout the country.
BTS’s four-show run at Las Vegas’ Allegiant Stadium last May raked in a staggering 49.5 million USD in ticket sales and drew 246,000 fans, setting a new box office record since the stadium’s opening. Impressively, BTS also clinched the second spot for their 2022 concert at the same venue.
At Gillette Stadium, which opened its doors in 2002, BTS topped the charts with a whopping 28.7 million USD in concert profits.
The group’s success continued at Baltimore’s M&T Bank Stadium, where they grossed 27.6 million USD, and Tampa’s Raymond James Stadium, where they pulled in 40.7 million USD, marking these events as the highest-grossing concerts in each stadium’s history.
Even at MetLife Stadium, one of the largest venues in the U.S., BTS secured the third spot with sales of 31.8 million USD.
BTS’s tour recently claimed the top spots on both the LIVE75 and Global Concert Pulse charts, as reported by concert industry authority Pollstar.
Based on six performances across M&T Bank Stadium, Gillette Stadium, and MetLife Stadium, BTS sold an average of 72,004 tickets per show, crowning them on the LIVE75 chart, which ranks global tours based on average monthly ticket sales.
In the Global Concert Pulse, which tracks average concert revenue, their recent 18-show run generated a mind-blowing average of 12.7 million USD per show, securing them the number one position. With the tour set to continue into the first half of next year, including planned stops in the Middle East and Japan, fans and industry watchers alike are eagerly anticipating what records BTS will shatter next.
Since their 2013 debut, BTS has skyrocketed to global superstardom with chart-topping hits like “Dynamite,” “Butter,” and “Permission to Dance.” Following their brief hiatus, the group made a triumphant return in March with their fifth studio album, ARIRANG, featuring the wildly popular new track “Swim.”
