K-pop group NMIXX is set to make their comeback on October 19.
JYP Entertainment, the group’s agency, announced that NMIXX will drop their sixth mini-album, Strange Muse, on that date.
This marks the group’s return to the music scene after a five-month hiatus following the release of their fifth mini-album, Heavy Serenade, in May.
The tracklist, unveiled on the group’s official social media platforms, features six songs: the title track “Birthday Wish,” along with “Kerosene,” “RudE TaLK,” “Sing to the Moon” (featuring Lilly and Haewon), “Hot ‘n Unbothered” (featuring Sullyoon and BAE), and “WHIP” (featuring Jiwoo and Kyujin).
In a first for NMIXX since their debut, the album showcases unit songs, highlighting the members’ individual talents. The group’s involvement in the creative process adds an authentic touch to the project, with members contributing to both lyrics and composition. Lilly and Haewon, Sullyoon and BAE, and Jiwoo and Kyujin all received writing credits for their respective unit tracks. Kyujin also contributed to the composition, while BAE participated in penning the lyrics for the third track, “RudE TaLK.”
Following the album release, NMIXX will wrap up their debut world tour, Episode 1: Zero Frontier, with an encore concert at the Inspire Arena in Incheon from November 27 to 29.
Since their 2022 debut, NMIXX has released hit singles including “O.O,” “Love Me Like This,” “DASH,” “Star Star Star,” and “No About Me.” The group’s popularity soared with “Blue Valentine,” which topped music charts and secured nine music show wins last year.
