The group CORTIS’s mini-album GREENGREEN has surpassed 4 million in cumulative sales just four months after its release.
Circle Chart’s latest weekly album report, released on September 17 for the period of September 6-12, reveals that CORTIS (comprising members Martin, James, Juhun, Seonghyeon, and Gunho) has achieved approximately 4.1 million in total album sales.
This year, only two albums have reached the coveted quadruple million-seller milestone in South Korea: BTS’s ARIRANG and CORTIS’s GREENGREEN.
According to Hanteo Chart, the album’s first-week sales skyrocketed to 2,313,291 copies, a fivefold increase from their previous release’s 436,467 copies, showcasing CORTIS’s meteoric rise in popularity.
Global music enthusiasts have played a pivotal role in this success story. GREENGREEN made a splash on Billboard’s flagship album chart, the Billboard 200, debuting at No. 3 for the week of May 23. This achievement marks the fastest ascent to the Top 3 for any K-pop group post-debut, excluding project teams. The album’s staying power is evident, as it continues to hold the 188th position on the Billboard 200 chart as of September 19, maintaining its ranking for an impressive 18 consecutive weeks.
CORTIS burst onto the scene in August last year with their debut track “What You Want”. Embracing their identity as a Young Creator Crew, all members actively contribute to music composition, choreography, and video production. They’ve since captivated audiences with hits like “GO!”, “Fashion”, and “REDRED”.
