SEVENTEEN’s Jun is cementing his status as a solo artist with the launch of his first Chinese extended play (EP).
Pledis Entertainment announced that Jun’s debut Chinese EP, 9, will drop globally on Monday at 11:00 a.m. (KST). The album draws inspiration from the Chinese folklore Nine Lives Cat Demon (九命猫妖), exploring the journey of self-discovery through a rollercoaster of emotions.
Jun, who has been expanding his musical repertoire through solo projects, personally contributed to the lyrics of the title track and other songs, elevating the album’s quality. In a teaser video, he hinted at his artistic evolution by showcasing a diverse range of sounds and mystical imagery.
With this Chinese EP debut, SEVENTEEN’s Jun is set to release all tracks and the music video for the title song on Monday at 11:00 a.m. (KST), further establishing his solo career.
SEVENTEEN, which debuted in 2015 with “Adore U”, has since captivated fans and the general public with a string of hits including “Mansae”, “Pretty U”, “Very Nice”, “Don’t Wanna Cry”, “Clap”, “Oh My!”, “Left & Right”, “Rock with You”, “Super”, and “_WORLD”.
