BTS continues to make waves on the U.S. Billboard main album chart with their fifth studio album, Arirang.
Billboard, the leading American music publication, reported on Tuesday that BTS’s Arirang has secured the 40th spot on the Billboard 200 chart.
Arirang made a spectacular debut at number one on the April 4 chart, maintaining its reign for three consecutive weeks. The album has impressively held its position in the rankings for 27 straight weeks. Furthermore, Arirang clinched the 26th spot on the Top Album Sales sub-chart.
The album’s title track “Swim” continues to captivate audiences worldwide. It’s currently sitting at number 22 on the Global 200 chart and number 7 on the Global (excluding the U.S.) chart, which tracks streaming and digital sales across more than 200 countries and regions.
“Swim” has particularly shined on the Global (excluding the U.S.) chart, maintaining a coveted spot in the Top 10 for an impressive 27 weeks since its number one debut. Another track from the album, “Normal,” also made its mark, ranking 134th and 72nd on the respective charts.
Since their 2013 debut, BTS has skyrocketed to fame as the Global Top Boy Group, with chart-topping hits like “Dynamite,” “Butter,”and “Permission to Dance.” Following a brief hiatus, the group dropped their highly anticipated fifth studio album, Arirang, this past March.
The septet is set to embark on their South American leg of the BTS WORLD TOUR ARIRANG with a kickoff performance in Bogotá, Colombia, on October 2.
