Kim Woo-seok (22), a member of the K-pop group Fantasy Boys, is mourning the loss of his mother.
On Thursday, Pocketdol Studio, Kim’s agency, announced that his mother passed away after a prolonged battle with illness.
The young idol is currently at the funeral home with his family, grieving their loss. In light of this tragic event, Kim has temporarily put his scheduled activities on hold to bid farewell to his mother.
The wake is being held at an undisclosed funeral home in Seoul. According to the agency, the funeral will be a private affair, attended only by family, relatives, and close friends, respecting the wishes of the bereaved.
Kim Woo-seok first caught the public eye as a contestant on MBC’s idol survival show “Boys Fantasy – After School Serendipity Season 2” in 2023, which led to his debut with Fantasy Boys later that year. He has since released tracks like “New Tomorrow” and “Pitter‐Patter‐Love,” and made his theatrical debut in the play “Romance is a Mirage” last year.
