Super Junior’s Yesung is set to mark the 10th anniversary of his solo career with a dazzling second full-length album.
The vocalist will release Where We Are on Tuesday at 6:00 p.m. (KST) across various digital platforms. This comeback arrives nearly two years after his November 2024 mini-album, serving as a milestone celebration of his decade-long solo journey.
The 12-track album showcases Yesung’s versatility, featuring the title song “Pedazos” alongside a mix of modern rock, city pop, ballads, and disco tunes.
For this anniversary project, Yesung took the reins creatively, self-directing the album. He centered the theme around “time,” curating music that reflects this concept and involving himself in every aspect from creative direction to styling.
Yesung’s personal touch extends to the songwriting, with his lyrics gracing nine tracks including “Winds of Time,” “Lonely Night,” “Pure Love Comic,” and “Time is on Our Side.” He even earned a composing credit for “Forest,” elevating the album’s authenticity.
The lead single “Pedazos,” which translates to Broken Pieces, features Spanish lyrics in its latter half. The track promises to showcase Yesung’s impressive vocal range while delving into the complex emotions following a breakup.
To commemorate this milestone, Yesung has planned several fan-centric events. He’ll kick off with a countdown livestream on YouTube and TikTok at 5:00 p.m. (KST) on release day, followed by a series of YouTube content drops. The celebration continues with concerts at Seoul’s KBS Arena from October 16-18, launching his anniversary tour ABOUT THE THINGS WE CALLED ORDINARY, which will see him perform in eight Asian cities.
Reflecting on this landmark release, Yesung shared through SM Entertainment that as he worked on this album, he realized these ten years weren’t just mine alone. He found himself thinking of all the people who’ve listened to his stories and cheered me on throughout this journey.
He added that eventually, his desire to celebrate gave way to an overwhelming sense of gratitude for everyone who’s been by his side. This album is a testament to those feelings.
