Two groups produced by Lee Soo-man, key producer at A2O Entertainment (A2O), are making their debut on the 13th, launching a major challenge to the K-pop market.

A2O’s boy group A2O SOUL and girl group A2O LITE will release their respective debut singles, “SUPERSTAR” and “NEON,” simultaneously on music streaming platforms at 6 p.m. on the 13th.

Breaking from the conventional approach of introducing one group at a time, A2O is launching a boy group and a girl group simultaneously. Veteran K-pop producer Yoo Young-jin also contributed to the music and performance production, helping each group develop its own distinctive identity.

The two groups were unveiled ahead of their official digital releases at the global debut showcase “WELCOME TO SOULITE From A2O SOUL A2O LITE,” held on the 12th at KINTEX in Ilsan, Goyang, Gyeonggi province. Their polished performances captured the audience’s attention, surpassing expectations.

The first standout feature is the quality of the music. As Lee emphasized, “As long as K-pop groups are called singers, the most important starting point is ultimately the song.” Both debut tracks demonstrate strong musical craftsmanship, balancing broad appeal with high production quality.

The performances also revealed fresh yet meticulously synchronized choreography rarely seen on conventional K-pop stages. Their exceptionally powerful movements, paired with understated styling, offered a clear demonstration of the intense and demanding training the two groups underwent ahead of their debuts.

Technological innovation is another distinguishing feature. The new 4D Gaussian Splatting (4DGS) technology introduced by Lee goes beyond delivering flashy visuals, precisely recording data about the time and space in which artists exist without being constrained by viewing angles. By integrating advanced technology, the groups aim to amplify their performances and visual experiences while establishing identities that set them apart from existing acts.

With the simultaneous launch of a boy group and a girl group, A2O has showcased the synergy between polished stage skills and new technology. Industry attention is now turning to the next steps for A2O SOUL and A2O LITE as they enter the music scene under Lee Soo-man’s direction.
