K-pop sensation Cortis has hit a major milestone, with their mini-album GREENGREEN amassing over 500 million streams on Spotify in just five months since its release.
Spotify, the leading global audio and music streaming platform, reports that Cortis – comprising members Martin, James, Juhun, Seonghyeon, and Geonho – has racked up an impressive 500,120,000 plays as of Monday. This tally includes streams from all six tracks on the album, with the title track “REDRED” leading the charge. The achievement marks a significant leap for the group since the album dropped in May.
GREENGREEN blazed past the 100 million stream mark on May 19, a mere 15 days after its release. This feat is particularly noteworthy when compared to their debut album COLOUR OUTSIDE THE LINES, released last September, which took 34 days to hit the same milestone. The group’s meteoric rise continued as they hit 200 million streams by June 18, 300 million by July 20, and 400 million by August 27, solidifying their status as streaming powerhouses.
Cortis isn’t just dominating the digital space; they’re also making waves on the global stage. The quintet recently electrified audiences with a show-stopping performance at Asia’s premier motorsport event, the Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix 2023, on October 9.
The group burst onto the scene last August with their debut single “What You Want.” Branding themselves as a Young Creator Crew, Cortis stands out for their hands-on approach, with all members actively involved in crafting their music, choreography, and video content. They’ve since captivated fans with tracks like “Go!,” “Fashion,” and “REDRED.”
