NewJeans’ “Cool With You” has surpassed 300 million streams, marking a significant milestone for the K-pop sensation.
Spotify reported on Wednesday that “Cool With You,” one of the triple title tracks from NewJeans’ sophomore extended play (EP) Get Up, hit 300,107,778 streams as of Monday. This achievement is particularly noteworthy as it’s the group’s 11th song to reach the 300 million stream mark.
Dropped in July 2023, “Cool With You” blends sophisticated UK Garage rhythms with NewJeans’ signature vocals, striking a balance between charm and restraint. The track’s popularity soared when it debuted on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart on August 5, 2023. Its appeal was further cemented when the British magazine Timeout named it one of the Best Songs of 2023.
In a bold artistic move, NewJeans expanded their performance repertoire with “Cool With You,” incorporating elements of contemporary and modern dance. The music video for the track featured cameos from international stars Tony Leung and Jung Ho-yeon, adding to its global appeal.
