Girl group BABYMONSTER continues its meteoric rise, adding another video to their collection of 200 million-plus views.
YG Entertainment reported that BABYMONSTER’s exclusive performance video for “WE GO UP,” the title track from their second mini-album, surpassed 200 million YouTube views at 11:36 p.m. (KST) the previous day. This milestone comes approximately one year after its October 14 release. With this achievement, BABYMONSTER now boasts 11 videos with over 200 million views among their 18 YouTube contents that have surpassed 100 million views.
The video has captivated global fans with BABYMONSTER’s polished performance skills and its grandiose production scale. Viewers have responded positively to the members’ unparalleled charisma and expressiveness, as well as the impressive set pieces, including a massive helicopter on a runway and large-scale choreography featuring a mega dance crew.
Riding this wave of momentum, BABYMONSTER is set to drop their new single “DESERVE” on October 23. Chief producer Yang Hyun-suk teased that while it’s a slow-tempo track, it packs more intense energy than any of their previous releases. BABYMONSTER’s signature delicate vocals combined with their explosive singing prowess culminate in a peak emotional experience.
This marks BABYMONSTER’s fifth release this year alone, showcasing their relentless drive. The group is also currently embarking on their second world tour, aptly titled CHOOM.
