Singer Crush is gearing up for a powerful comeback, wielding IU’s distinctive vocal prowess as his secret weapon, as he sets his sights on topping the charts after a 14-month hiatus.
Crush is slated to drop his new digital single “SEESAW (Feat. IU)” across major streaming platforms on Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. (KST), marking his official return to the music scene. This release comes hot on the heels of his mini-album FANG, which hit the airwaves in August last year.
“SEESAW (Feat. IU),” penned and composed by Crush himself, offers a charming and lighthearted take on the awkward, stumbling journey of love. The track’s lyrics paint a vivid picture of the misalignments that occur when two different souls collide, while the intricate harmonies and playful back-and-forth between the two vocal powerhouses elevate the song to new heights.
The collaboration has sparked considerable buzz, as it marks the first official musical partnership between Crush and IU, a veritable titan of the K-pop industry.
Crush revealed that he approached IU believing her voice was tailor-made for the track. He expressed deep appreciation for her meticulous approach and expressive prowess, crediting these qualities for elevating the song beyond his initial vision.
The accompanying music video promises to be a visual treat, showcasing the duo’s delightful on-screen chemistry while exploring the emotional journey of embracing inner turmoil and finding solace through theatrical storytelling.
As the autumn chill sets in, all eyes are on how this formidable collaboration between two of Korea’s most reliable chart-toppers will shake up the music scene.
