Singer-songwriter EJAE, who garnered attention for her work on the soundtrack of Netflix’s animated film KPop Demon Hunters (KDH), recently shared her thoughts on tying the knot with producer Samuel Kim (Sam Kim).
On Wednesday, EJAE took to Instagram to post wedding photos with Sam Kim, captioning the images, “An unexpected day with the most precious love of my life.”
She also expressed heartfelt gratitude towards her manager, adding that she’s incredibly thankful for her mother and brother for everything, creating a touching moment for her followers.
The shared photos captured intimate moments from their wedding ceremony, which took place on October 17 at Stage 28 in Godeok-dong, Gangdong-gu, Seoul.
During their traditional Korean ceremony, EJAE and Sam Kim were seen sharing a joyful smile while holding jujubes in their mouths, a customary practice. Another endearing snapshot showed the couple posing happily with EJAE’s grandfather, veteran actor Shin Young-kyun, and her grandmother, drawing admiration from fans.
EJAE and Sam Kim’s relationship blossomed from a professional connection that began in 2017 through collaborative work. Their friendship evolved into romance when Sam Kim confessed his feelings. Although the couple had initially planned a November wedding in the United States, they decided to expedite their nuptials, exchanging vows in Seoul and officially becoming husband and wife.
In other news, EJAE’s talents extend beyond her personal life. She not only wrote and composed but also performed “Golden,” the theme song for the Netflix animated series KDH. The track has received widespread acclaim, sweeping major awards including Best Animated Feature and Best Director at the 53rd Annie Awards, Best Animated Feature and Best Song at the 31st Critics’ Choice Awards, similar accolades at the 83rd Golden Globe Awards, Best Soundtrack at the 68th Grammy Awards, and both Best Animated Feature and Best Song at the 98th Academy Awards. The song’s success continued with a Song of the Year win at the 2026 American Music Awards.
