ILLIT’s new music video “You’re Under Arrest” has set tongues wagging with a surprise cameo from heartthrob actor Song Kang.
The K-pop sensation dropped the official video on their YouTube channel on Monday, sending fans into a frenzy.
The clip kicks off with the ILLIT members, visibly miffed, on a mission to track down a mystery man. They’re hot on the trail of the guilty boy referenced in the lyrics, who’s clearly gotten under their skin.
In a jaw-dropping twist, the video climaxes with the unmasking of the guilty party – none other than Song Kang himself. Decked out in a sleek black leather jacket, the actor’s smoldering looks sent temperatures soaring and social media into overdrive.
The video’s popularity skyrocketed, racking up a staggering 4.8 million views in just 16 hours post-release.
In related news, ILLIT dropped their fifth mini-album Break Even across major streaming platforms at 6:00 p.m. (KST) on Monday. Fans can catch the group’s live comeback performance on KBS 2TV’s “Music Bank” on October 30, marking the start of their promotional activities.
