As North Korea approaches the 80th anniversary of the Workers’ Party’s founding on October 10, the regime is emphasizing state supremacy and urging citizens to demonstrate loyalty to Party General Secretary Kim Jong Un.

The party’s official newspaper, Rodong Sinmun, published a front-page article on Tuesday titled, Our Era of State Supremacy. It declared that the esteemed Comrade Kim embodies the powerful image of its unrivaled state, asserting that the state’s supremacy is equivalent to that of the leader.

The newspaper proclaimed that the state and the people have become one, with the leader and the people forming a single great family. It called on citizens to fight even harder, brimming with confidence in victory, for the comprehensive development of the socialist system and the prosperous future of its eternally thriving homeland, following the brilliant blueprint laid out by its great party.

On page 3, the article highlighted the Three Great Revolutions implemented in cities and counties, emphasizing local revitalization. The report stated that the most crucial task is to develop the internal capacity to drive the growth of cities and counties. It added that a strong, self-reliant workforce, well-versed in the party’s ideology and policies, equipped with modern scientific knowledge and high cultural standards, must be prepared for the party’s local development plans to become a shining reality.

Page 4 reported that a delegation from the Korean Central News Agency, led by Vice President Kang Chol, departed Pyongyang on Monday to attend the 19th General Assembly of the Organization of Asia-Pacific News Agencies (OANA) in Russia. It also noted that the educational delegation that participated in the 3rd International Education Forum in Russia returned home on Monday.

Page 5 emphasized the critical role of local officials in healthcare initiatives. The newspaper stated that when medical officials adopt a responsible attitude and take ownership of modern medical facilities, they can significantly contribute to improving the health and welfare of people in their communities.

The same page reported that North Pyongan Province has renovated about 400 dairy production facilities and constructed new goat farms and processing plants. It also mentioned that Kangdong County has completely cleaned its major rivers in just over 70 days, transforming the local landscape.

Page 6 criticized capitalism while discussing the economic crisis in the West. The newspaper claimed that the supposedly superior capitalist development model in the West has been exposed as nothing more than a myth and illusion. It asserted that the fact that the profit rate of capital has reached a critical point suggests that the decline of the West is becoming a reality.
