North Korea announced that it held a three-day plenary meeting of the Workers’ Party of Korea from June 21 to 23. However, the regime did not disclose specific outcomes from the meeting or the content of General Secretary Kim Jong Un’s speech.

The party’s official newspaper, Rodong Sinmun, reported on its front and second pages on Tuesday that the 12th expanded plenary meeting of the 8th Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea took place over the three days.

During this meeting, officials presented reports on achievements in various sectors, including politics, economy, and national defense. The Central Committee reportedly evaluated these reports positively. The newspaper also mentioned that organizational (personnel) issues were discussed, though specific details were not revealed.

On page 3, the fifth article in the series, From Mount Baekdu to Mount Songak, titled “Beyond Saengi Pass,” propagandized that the transformation of Kyongsong County exemplifies the party’s commitment to ensuring residents enjoy a material life comparable to that of urban dwellers, living worry-free in a cultural and sanitary environment similar to the capital. The article also encouraged active economic mobilization efforts.

Page 4 highlighted the upcoming 75th anniversary of the outbreak of the Korean War. It reported that a meeting of workers and union members, pledging vengeance against U.S. imperialism, took place on Monday at the Central Class Education Hall, intensifying anti-American sentiment. The page also noted the return of a Korean Central News Agency delegation from Russia.

Page 5 reported that, in celebration of the party’s 80th founding anniversary, agricultural officials and workers nationwide are focusing on wheat and barley farming. The harvest of these crops is reportedly nearing completion. Additionally, it mentioned that the Musan Mining Complex conducted a large-scale blast involving 700,000 tons of material, and various factories and enterprises are emphasizing talent development.

Page 6 claimed that the U.S. launched a military attack on Iran’s nuclear facilities early on June 22, asserting that the international community strongly condemns this action. The newspaper particularly criticized the U.S. and Israel for their alleged attack on Iran, citing statements from the Russian and Chinese governments.
