Russian President Vladimir Putin and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un were caught on camera engaging in a friendly conversation inside Putin’s car.
Russian media outlet Vzglyad reported on Monday that Pavel Zarubin, a journalist from the state-owned All-Russia State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company (VGTRK), captured and shared the footage via Telegram.
The video shows the two leaders laughing and chatting animatedly on September 3 while seated in Putin’s official vehicle, the Aurus. Earlier that day, they attended a reception at the Great Hall of the People following a ceremony marking the 80th anniversary of China’s victory in World War II.
Subsequently, they traveled in the Aurus Senat limousine, often dubbed the Russian Rolls Royce, to the Diaoyutai State Guesthouse for a bilateral summit. The footage captures the two leaders conversing and gesturing as they made their way to the meeting venue.
The video also includes scenes of President Putin and Kim having a one-on-one discussion over tea, each accompanied by a single interpreter.
Zarubin noted on his Telegram channel that his team had the exclusive opportunity to film this footage directly inside the Aurus.
