North Korean leader Kim Jong Un recently met with nuclear scientists and technicians to review plans for nuclear material and weapon production for the coming year.

The regime’s state-run newspaper, Rodong Sinmun, reported on its front page that Kim led a crucial meeting on nuclear production with experts in the field. First Deputy Director Hong Seung-mu was also present at the meeting.

During the meeting, Kim received briefings on the 2025 capacity expansion plans for nuclear material production and evaluated recent activities along with key production efforts at the nuclear weapons research institute.

The newspaper’s second page featured news of replies from Vietnam’s Communist Party General Secretary and President to Kim’s recent congratulatory message commemorating Vietnam’s 80th National Day. The Vietnamese leaders expressed their desire to strengthen bilateral relations in ways that benefit both nations and contribute to regional and global stability.

The third page highlighted economic achievements ahead of the 80th anniversary of the ruling party’s founding on October 10. The paper proclaimed, Forward to the Glorious October Celebration, and lauded the unwavering loyalty of the working class. It also reported the completion of the Usi No. 3 power plant in Jagang Province and the establishment of an aviation club in North Hamgyong Province.

On the fourth page, the regime emphasized the importance of patriotism. The newspaper stated that opportunities for patriotic work are everywhere, urging citizens to become true patriots in whatever they do, as beneficiaries of the state.

The fifth page covered the commencement of the autumn harvest in Sukchon County, boasting an expected yield increase of over 1 ton (about 2,200 lbs) per unit area compared to last year. The report also mentioned ongoing economic mobilization efforts to boost agricultural production nationwide.

The final page reported on protests in Western countries, claiming that capitalist societies face insurmountable challenges due to social polarization, economic crises, ethnic tensions, religious conflicts, and the rise of far-right extremism.
