North Korea conducted a test launch of its upgraded tactical ballistic missile, the Hwasong-11R, to verify the effectiveness of its warhead. The state-run newspaper Rodong Sinmun reported on Monday that the Missile Command of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea carried out the test launch on April 19. Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un, accompanied by his daughter Ju-ae, observed the launch. He stated that the development of diverse warheads would more efficiently meet military operational demands. Kim emphasized that enhancing high-density strike capabilities against specific targets is crucial for military operations.
