The bipartisan Korea-U.S. Congressional Alliance is planning a year-end visit to the U.S. This initiative aims to address trade issues through parliamentary diplomacy.
According to multiple members of the alliance on Wednesday, they are scheduling the visit for late November or December, following the U.S. midterm elections.
In a phone interview with News1, a member of the alliance stated that the visit will primarily focus on pressing issues such as U.S. investment projects and nuclear-powered submarines. They added that they are planning to send a delegation of fewer than 5 people.
The member also explained that it intends to meet with key figures from both the Senate and House of Representatives, as well as officials from the Department of Commerce and the State Department.
The delegation will finalize the meeting agenda in coordination with the government at a later date.
