Stars Under the Stars: KBO All-Star Game Brings Baseball Magic Despite Rain Forecast

Despite the weather forecast predicting rain, the 2024 KBO League All-Star Game sold out for the third consecutive year.

KBO announced on the 6th, “The 2024 Shinhan SOL Bank KBO League All-Star Game, held at the Incheon SSG Landers Field, has sold out all 22,500 seats,” noting “the third consecutive sell-out since the 2022 season.”

Despite the rain forecast that evening, the stadium was already filled with spectators four hours before the game began.

This season’s All-Star game sparked a lot of buzz with a record-breaking total of 3,227,578 votes cast in the online All-Star Best 12 vote.

This year’s All-Star game also has various attractions and activities prepared for the fans to enjoy.

From 3:10 PM onwards, 30 All-Star players divided into three groups will hold a fan signing event at the outfield grounds of SSG Landers Field.

From 3:30 PM to 4:00 PM, Lee Young Ha (Doosan), Kim Ji Chan (Samsung), Jang Hyun Sik (KIA), and Hong Chang Gi (LG) will conduct one-on-one lessons for fans at the Home Run King Batting Zone and Perfect Pitcher Zone set up in the Frontier Square in front of SSG Landers Field, teaching them about hitting and pitching directly.

The Shinhan SOL Bank Summer Race, in which players and fans run together, will be held on the field starting at 4:30 PM.

Ahead of the game, the Republic of Korea Air Force’s special aerobatics team, the Black Eagles, will also showcase an airshow.

The All-Star game, divided into the Sharing Team and the Dream Team, will commence at 6 p.m. During the 5th inning break, the popular Korean band DAY6 will perform a special performance.
