Cryptocurrency exchange Crypto.com announced today that it has partnered with the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA). As part of the agreement, Crypto.com has been named the exclusive cryptocurrency platform partner of the UEFA Champions League, marking it the first digital asset platform to secure such a partnership with the tournament.
Under this partnership, Crypto.com will become the official global sponsor of the UEFA Champions League.
Crypto.com said they “will collaborate to bring unique experiences to fans by creating memorable moments at the matches, driving fan engagement around football and cryptocurrency.”
The sponsorship will feature in-stadium promotions and innovative advertising campaigns, including broadcasts. The Crypto.com brand was officially showcased during yesterday’s UEFA Super Cup.
This partnership adds to Crypto.com’s growing list of sports and entertainment collaborations, which includes the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, Formula 1, UFC, and the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
Steven Kalifowitz, Crypto.com’s Chief Marketing Officer, commented, “This exclusive partnership with one of, if not the most popular leagues in the world, the UEFA Champions League, represents a significant step in our journey of engaging consumers through the most iconic global sporting events.”
“We have successfully built the Crypto.com brand and community by producing innovative and groundbreaking moments and events in a way that others have been unable to replicate. Connecting our brand with engaged sports fans around the world has effectively grown our user base to over 100 million in pursuit of our mission of cryptocurrency in every wallet.”
