LG Electronics has solidified its product competitiveness by clinching the top spot in a consumer satisfaction survey for home appliances conducted among American consumers, the company announced on Thursday.

In the recently released 2025 Consumer Satisfaction Index by J.D. Power, a leading U.S. market research firm, LG Electronics secured first place in four categories: French-door refrigerators, side-by-side refrigerators, dryers, and ranges. This achievement represents the highest number of awards received by any appliance brand in this year’s evaluation, which focused on product categories rather than specific models.

J.D. Power surveyed over 15,000 consumers who purchased major appliances within the past year. The assessment covered seven criteria: durability, performance, additional features, ease of use, design, value, and brand trust. The survey encompassed eleven product categories, including eight kitchen appliances (French-door refrigerators, side-by-side refrigerators, top-freezer refrigerators, cooktops, ovens, ranges, over-the-range microwaves, and dishwashers) and three laundry appliances (top-load washers, front-load washers, and dryers).

LG’s French-door and side-by-side refrigerators earned high praise for their core performance, durability, and design. J.D. Power highlighted the side-by-side refrigerator’s excellence in value, citing its well-designed layout and spacious interior that facilitate easy food organization. The company’s dryers and ranges also received accolades for their exceptional performance, features, and design.

LG Electronics attributed the high satisfaction levels to its advanced core component technologies. The company’s in-house–developed key components, such as the AI DD motor and inverter linear compressor, significantly enhance the performance and efficiency of its washers and refrigerators.

Leveraging its product competitiveness, LG is making strong inroads in the U.S. B2B home appliance market. Following a partnership with Lennar, the second-largest homebuilder in the U.S., LG recently inked an exclusive supply agreement with Century Communities, one of the nation’s top 10 builders.

Furthermore, after supplying products to Wash, the second-largest laundry solutions provider in the U.S. last year, LG has now begun supplying to CSC ServiceWorks, the country’s leading laundry solutions provider. The company is also expanding its commercial laundry appliance line, LG Professional, into the North American and European markets within the year.

Jung Kyu Hwang, Vice President and Head of LG Electronics North America, commented that the recognition of LG’s leadership in the U.S., the world’s largest premium market, underscores the company’s commitment to delivering superior product performance and enhancing customer experience.
