Samsung Electronics is showcasing its AI-powered modular home solution, a cutting-edge living concept, at the 2026 Korea Build Week, the nation’s premier construction expo, running through February 7 at KINTEX in Ilsan.

Korea Build Week, a specialized exhibition for construction, architecture, and interior design, features over 900 global firms presenting state-of-the-art equipment and technologies.

For this event, Samsung has unveiled a 640-square-foot AI-equipped modular home, developed in partnership with Space Production, Korea’s leading timber modular housing company. Space Production boasts an annual production capacity of 1,700 modular homes through its smart factory, which integrates AI-driven architectural design with robotic automation.

The model home on display comprises seven distinct areas, including an entryway, living room, and bedroom, each demonstrating AI-enhanced daily living scenarios. At the entrance, an AI door cam offers security by detecting and recording unfamiliar movements while notifying residents of package deliveries. The laundry and dressing areas showcase an integrated solution where the Bespoke AI Combo and AirDresser work in tandem to manage clothing based on fabric type.

Convenience takes center stage in the kitchen and living room. A refrigerator with AI Food Manager capabilities automatically tracks ingredients, while the living room’s Map View feature allows for centralized control of all household appliances, blinds, and lighting. The bedroom highlights a Galaxy Watch-linked routine that adjusts climate control based on sleep pattern analysis.

Energy efficiency concerns are also addressed. To combat the typically high heating and cooling costs associated with single-family homes, Samsung introduced the SmartThings ‘AI Saving Mode.’ This innovative feature can reduce energy consumption by up to 60% for washing machines and 30% for air conditioners, translating to significant savings on living expenses.

Since debuting its modular home concept for the global B2B market at IFA 2025 in Germany last year, Samsung has been expanding its presence in Korea through collaborations with entities such as the Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH). Yang Hye Soon, Vice President of Samsung Electronics’ DA Division, said the exhibition offers a tangible opportunity to experience the real-world benefits of AI-enhanced homes. She added that Samsung is committed to spearheading housing innovation with a versatile solution that can be adapted to any residential setting.
