Samsung Electronics has secured the top position in the global commercial display market for the 17th consecutive year, as announced on Thursday.

According to Omdia, a leading market research firm, Samsung captured a 35.2% market share in terms of sales volume in the global commercial display market for 2025. The company’s commercial display sales reached an all-time high of 2.5 million units last year.

Samsung’s commercial display lineup includes smart signage, electronic whiteboards, and business televisions (TVs).

The tech giant has expanded its product range with innovative offerings like Spatial Signage and Samsung Color E-Paper, pushing the boundaries of display technology.

Spatial Signage incorporates Samsung’s proprietary three-dimensional (3D) Plate technology, achieving a slim 52mm profile while creating a three-dimensional effect that gives the illusion of depth within the screen. Currently available in an 85-inch model, Samsung plans to broaden the lineup with various sizes.

The ultra-low-power Samsung Color E-Paper recently introduced a 13-inch model, comparable to A4 paper size, complementing the existing 32-inch version. Notably, the 13-inch model is the world’s first to utilize bio-resin derived from plant-based plankton oil. This eco-friendly manufacturing process reduces carbon emissions by over 40% compared to conventional petroleum-based plastics. Samsung intends to expand the use of bio-resin across this product line.

Beyond hardware innovations, Samsung is bolstering its solutions business, offering integrated digital signage experiences that merge devices and software to enhance its competitive edge.

The Samsung Visual eXperience Transformation (VXT) solution, tailored for commercial displays, offers a range of features including remote device management, real-time monitoring, and streamlined content creation and operation.

Next month, Samsung will introduce artificial intelligence (AI) Studio, an AI-powered app that enables users to create video content for signage from a single photo.

Kim Hyung-jae, Vice President of Samsung Electronics’ Visual Display Business, stated that its 17-year reign in the global commercial display market stems from the agility in addressing evolving business landscapes and business-to-business (B2B) client needs. It remains committed to delivering unparalleled value through products and solutions optimized for diverse commercial environments.
