LG Electronics is accelerating its push into the European residential heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) market with an integrated heat pump system tailored for local homes. The company aims to strengthen its market leadership in commercial and industrial sectors through differentiated product offerings, including advanced system air conditioners and chillers.

LG Electronics announced its participation in the Mostra Convegno Expocomfort (MCE) 2026, a four-day event starting March 24 in Milan, Italy. The company will showcase comprehensive HVAC solutions spanning residential, commercial, and industrial applications.

MCE is a biennial HVAC exhibition, with this year’s event featuring over 1,600 companies from 49 countries worldwide.

Unveiling a Comprehensive Heat Pump Solution for Heating, Cooling, and Hot Water

In the residential exhibition area, LG will spotlight its HVAC total solution, centered around air-to-water heat pumps (AWHP) widely used in Europe. This integrated system covers heating, cooling, and hot water needs.

Europe represents the largest market for residential heat pumps, which are gaining traction due to their fossil fuel-free operation and ease of installation.

Air-to-water heat pumps utilize outdoor air as a heat source for heating, cooling, and hot water systems. They work by extracting heat from outside air or expelling indoor heat to the exterior.

The system compresses refrigerant using heat from incoming outdoor air, which then warms water. This heated water circulates from the outdoor unit through indoor units and water tanks for heating and hot water use.

LG will showcase its cutting-edge technology, including the Therma V R290 Monobloc, which uses R290 refrigerant with a remarkably low global warming potential (GWP) of 0.02. The company will also debut three new indoor unit models: control units, hydro units, and combi units.

These indoor units, connected to outdoor units, manage home heating and hot water distribution. The new products are designed with European customers in mind, prioritizing installation ease, user-friendliness, and aesthetics. They can be remotely accessed and controlled via LG ThinQ.

The basic control unit is a streamlined standalone device requiring no plumbing connections. The hydro unit incorporates essential heat pump components like a backup heater, three-way valve, and expansion tank.

The combi unit, an all-in-one solution with a built-in 200-liter water tank, is ideal for apartments or new homes with limited space, offering easy installation without compromising functionality.

LG will also present water tank products designed to store and distribute water for heating and domestic use. The company recently acquired OSO, a premium European hot water solution firm, to enhance synergies with its HVAC systems.

Visitors to the exhibition will experience LG’s integrated residential heat pump solution, showcasing the synergy between outdoor units, indoor units, and water tanks.

Tailored Lineup for Commercial and Industrial Spaces: System Air Conditioners and Chillers

Beyond residential solutions, LG will exhibit specialized HVAC systems for large commercial spaces and industrial facilities.

In the large-capacity VRF solution zone, LG will feature the LG Multi V i, a leader in the commercial air conditioning market. This system delivers optimal climate control in commercial buildings and large facilities where precise temperature management and integrated control are crucial.

The LG Multi V i employs a high-efficiency inverter compressor and artificial intelligence (AI) based smart control system to maximize energy savings. It uses R32 refrigerant, which has a global warming potential about 70% lower than the conventional R410A refrigerant.

LG will also introduce the LG ACP i, an advanced HVAC control solution that enables centralized management of multiple air conditioning units. This cloud-based central controller allows real-time monitoring and adjustment. Users can simply scan a QR code on its 2.4-inch liquid crystal display (LCD) screen with their smartphones for instant connection and control.

In the chiller solution zone, LG will showcase the Inverter Scroll Chiller (ISC), a commercial HVAC solution that combines high-efficiency refrigeration technology with precise control capabilities. The company will present its comprehensive chiller solution, integrating cooling, circulation, air conditioning, and control into a single system.

LG Electronics offers a diverse range of products, including the newly exhibited Inverter Scroll Chiller, Oil-Free Inverter Turbo Chiller, Screw Chiller, and Absorption Chiller. This extensive lineup allows the company to expand its reach not only in large commercial spaces but also in industrial, power generation, and AI data center sectors.

Lee Jae-sung, President of LG Electronics’ ES Business Division, stated that they’re ramping up the efforts to penetrate the European heat pump market with the integrated heating, cooling, and hot water system solutions. In the B2B sector, it’ll reinforce the market leadership by offering superior competitiveness in installation, operation, and maintenance.
