KT Corporation named a new CEO, and the executive wasted no time making priorities clear.

On July 31, the CEO skipped a formal inauguration ceremony and instead visited the KT Network and Security Control Center, signaling that network stability and security competitiveness would define the leadership agenda.

The visit began with words of encouragement to employees working round-the-clock shifts, followed by a full operational briefing on the control center. The CEO then inspected critical equipment and reviewed real-time systems to assess existing response protocols.

Focus sharpened at the Security Operations Center and the integrated IT control room, where the executive examined proactive threat prevention processes and emergency response procedures built to counter cyber threats.

“Maintaining a robust network and stringent security measures under all circumstances is the cornerstone of rebuilding customer trust,” the CEO said. The executive pledged to strengthen the company’s field-oriented response capabilities going forward.
