LG Electronics announced on Wednesday that it has been included in Forbes’ Global Top 200 Accessibility Innovations list.

The company has been focusing on improving product and service accessibility as part of its global Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) vision, Better Life for All.

A standout product is the kiosk LG unveiled earlier this year at the California State University, Northridge (CSUN) Assistive Technology (AT) 2026, the world’s largest accessibility conference.

This kiosk integrates accessibility features like a Braille panel, sign language guidance, and a screen reader to enhance usability for customers with disabilities. Wheelchair users or shorter customers can also adjust its height with the push of a button.

CSUN AT is an Assistive Technology event hosted by California State University, Northridge. It’s considered the world’s largest conference focused on accessibility.

At the event, LG set up a dedicated booth where visitors could experience products and services designed to improve accessibility for individuals with disabilities and senior customers.

The AI home hub, LG ThinQ ON, learns and predicts users’ lifestyle patterns through conversation, optimally controlling home appliances and IoT devices.

IoT sensors linked with ThinQ ON provide light-based alerts instead of sound for door openings, motion detection, and power monitoring, making them user-friendly for individuals with hearing impairments.

The LG Comfort Kit, an accessory line helping customers use appliances more easily, includes 18 items such as the Easy Handle for dishwasher doors and the Easy Detergent Cup for clear detergent measurement.

These products were developed considering diverse user experiences, including those of people with disabilities, seniors, and parents with young children.

LG continues to improve service accessibility. In South Korea, they offer a Best Companion Care service where dedicated managers assist customers with mobility challenges from parking to product testing, and provide specialized consultation for sign language users.

LG also runs the Bold Move community initiative to enhance accessibility for customers with disabilities and seniors. This platform allows users to share their experiences with LG products and services and suggest improvements. The LG Comfort Kit, for instance, underwent testing and feedback from community participants.
