AhnLab is launching the integrated “AhnLab AI PLUS” brand as part of a broader transformation into an AI-native security platform company.
The company unveiled its AI-focused business strategy and long-term growth plans at a press briefing in Seoul, introducing its vision for an AI-driven future.
AhnLab AI PLUS is an integrated brand designed to connect more than 30 security products and services with over three decades of accumulated threat intelligence (TI) and security operations expertise, with AI at the center.
Rather than simply adding AI capabilities to existing security products—a model AhnLab describes as “AI-powered security”—the company plans to shift toward “AI-native security,” in which products, data, and security operations are designed around AI from the outset.
AhnLab plans to expand the application of AI beyond individual products to its entire security portfolio and overall business structure.
The company identified three major strategic priorities: transforming its business structure around software-as-a-service (SaaS), implementing AI-native security by redesigning products, data, and operations around AI, and increasing both customer security value and AhnLab’s growth.
Restructuring the Business Around SaaS
AhnLab plans to transition its products and services toward a SaaS model that enables continuous updates, usage, renewal, and expansion.
To support this transition, the company will reorganize its products, services, and security capabilities around two growth platforms: AhnLab AI PLUS Endpoint and AhnLab AI PLUS SecOps.
AhnLab AI PLUS Endpoint is a security platform that integrates endpoint protection platform (EPP) and endpoint detection and response (EDR) capabilities through a SaaS-based model. It is designed to support existing customers as they transition to SaaS while expanding protection beyond PCs to servers, virtual environments, containers, and mobile devices.
AhnLab AI PLUS SecOps is a platform centered on extended detection and response (XDR), managed detection and response (MDR), and an AI-based security operations center (SOC). It connects security data and operational capabilities across multiple areas.
By linking security signals generated across endpoints, networks, and cloud environments, the platform analyzes attack context and priorities and supports the entire process from prevention through response.
AhnLab plans to eventually expand the platform to include threat exposure management and attack surface management. It also plans to gradually introduce capabilities that allow AI to classify and investigate large volumes of security events and recommend appropriate response measures.
The company also plans to expand its delivery model beyond one-time deployment and sales toward continuous service delivery. Its product-sales-focused business model will shift toward a SaaS and subscription structure driven by customers’ ongoing usage, renewals, and expansion.
Redesigning Products, Data, and Operations Around AI
AhnLab plans to go beyond adding AI features to individual security products and redesign its products, data, and security operations around AI.
Through AhnLab AI PLUS, the company plans to connect data across multiple security domains—including endpoints, networks, cloud environments, operational technology (OT), threat intelligence, and security operations—to build an “agentic AI security” system.
Multiple AI agents will divide responsibilities to analyze threats, infer attack paths, assess risk, and recommend investigation and response measures. The goal is to connect the entire security process—from proactive prevention through detection, analysis, investigation, and response—within a unified AI-based security framework.
AhnLab currently has more than 2.5 petabytes of security data, 13 security-specialized AI models, and 60 security operations tools. The company processes more than 190 million security objects and over 50 billion tokens every month.
In some operations at its AI security operations center, AhnLab has reduced processing time from five minutes to two minutes, representing an approximately 60% reduction.
The company said AI decision-making, actions, and data-access processes will be logged and reviewed, while key actions will require user approval before execution.
AhnLab plans to apply a principle of “controlled autonomy,” granting AI greater autonomy while managing its authority through permissions, policies, auditing, and approval processes.
AhnLab to Invest $73.3 Million in AI Over Three Years, Targets $732.6 Million in Revenue by 2035
AhnLab plans to invest a total of approximately $73.3 million in AI over the next three years to support its AI transformation.
The investment will focus on expanding AI computing, data and platform infrastructure, as well as strengthening AI talent and research and development capabilities. The company also plans to accelerate AI transformation across the organization, including product and service development, engineering, quality assurance, and data engineering.
AhnLab plans to connect these efforts through four growth pillars: AI-native technology, platforms, SaaS, and global expansion. The company aims to increase recurring subscription revenue and expand its international business.
Technology, data, and security operations expertise accumulated in Korea will be expanded into overseas markets through application programming interfaces (APIs), cloud services, and global partner ecosystems.
The company also plans to pursue strategic mergers and acquisitions, joint research with AI companies and startups, and investment in the AI sector.
Based on these initiatives, AhnLab is targeting approximately $732.6 million in annual revenue by 2035, while aiming to increase the share of revenue generated internationally to more than 30%.
AhnLab CEO Kang Seok-kyun said, “At a time when AI is changing the rules of the game in cybersecurity and reshaping the competitive landscape of the security industry, ‘AhnLab AI PLUS’ represents AhnLab’s next chapter.”
He added that AhnLab aims to become “an AI-native security platform company that customers think of first when they face security challenges in the AI era.”
