Coway has unveiled its innovative Walking Assistance Wearable Robot, a cutting-edge device designed to enhance mobility for seniors.
The company has opened pre-launch consultations ahead of the product’s official release in October. This groundbreaking wearable robot, developed in partnership with global robotics leader WIRobotics, is engineered to augment users’ walking abilities, making it ideal for various activities from leisurely strolls to tackling stairs and even hiking.
Weighing in at a mere 1.6 kg (about 3.5 lbs), the Coway Walking Assistance Wearable Robot features a user-friendly design with a waist-mounted main unit and attachable leg straps. Its ergonomic construction allows for comfortable wear over everyday clothing, ensuring practicality and ease of use.
The device boasts multiple walking modes adaptable to different environments and user needs. It also comes with a Smart Walking Report feature, accessible through a dedicated Apple application, enabling users to track their gait patterns and progress over time.
The robot will be available in three stylish colors: Pebble Gray, Pale Navy, and Sand Beige, and will be offered exclusively through a rental model.
To generate buzz before the official launch, Coway is rolling out a special promotion for early birds. Customers who schedule a pre-consultation and subsequently rent the Walking Assistance Wearable Robot will enjoy a generous 50% discount on their rental fees for the first two months.
