KT announced on Wednesday that it had been ranked first in three categories—high-speed internet, IPTV, and mobile communication—in the 2026 Korean Quality Satisfaction Index (KS-QEI) survey conducted by the Korean Standards Association.
This survey marks KT’s 11th consecutive year at the top for high-speed internet, 10th for IPTV, and 7th for mobile communication. KT attributes this success to its stable network infrastructure and continuous improvement of products and services to meet changing customer needs and usage environments, as well as enhancing overall customer experience across its service offerings.
KT is advancing its wired and wireless network capabilities to ensure customers have reliable access to communication services anytime, anywhere.
In the high-speed internet sector, KT utilizes an AI-based network operation system to analyze traffic and quality data, enabling early detection of anomalies for proactive quality management. The company swiftly analyzes and addresses issues to minimize customer inconvenience during service disruptions.
In mobile communications, KT has pioneered the commercialization of 5G standalone (SA) technology and Voice over New Radio (VoNR) services, while also enhancing next-generation technologies like 5G SA network slicing. Leveraging its nationwide wired and wireless infrastructure and operational expertise, KT has strengthened its system for real-time network monitoring and proactive response to unusual situations.
KT is diversifying its products and services to align with evolving customer usage patterns and lifestyles.
In mobile communications, the company has expanded customer options, allowing them to select benefits based on their usage patterns and needs. KT has also improved convenience through a unified billing system that encompasses both LTE and 5G services.
The IPTV platform, Genie TV, supports convenient access to live broadcasts and video-on-demand (VOD) through its All-G feature. Genie TV incorporates AI-based content discovery and on-device AI technology, making it easier and faster for users to find desired content.
KT is committed to enhancing the customer experience throughout the entire process of subscribing to and using its services, going beyond just improving network and product quality.
The company continues to refine its artificial intelligence (AI)-based customer support system to respond more swiftly and accurately to inquiries and issues. Additionally, KT has intensified its customer protection efforts to prevent risks such as spam and voice phishing that may occur during communication usage.
Choi Se-jun, Executive Vice President of KT’s Customer Strategy Division, stated that its consecutive top rankings in high-speed internet, IPTV, and mobile communication represent a significant achievement made possible by the trust of the customers who choose KT. He added that it will continue to enhance the quality of services that customers can experience in their daily lives, leveraging AI and communication technology, and respond with differentiated customer value.
