Dell Technologies has upgraded its Dell AI Factory with NVIDIA portfolio to aggressively target the enterprise and institutional artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure market.
On Tuesday, Varun Chhabra, Senior Vice President of Infrastructure (ISG) and Telecom Marketing at Dell Technologies, unveiled new AI Factory products featuring NVIDIA’s next-generation Blackwell Ultra GPU during a media briefing on the updated Dell AI Factory.
The Dell Technologies AI Factory has significantly expanded its Dell Pro Max lineup, a high-performance AI PC portfolio designed for AI developers and experts.
Chhabra emphasized their focus on enhancing AI infrastructure and software centered around the new Blackwell Ultra-powered products. He cited internal research showing that while 65% of organizations successfully transitioned based on AI proofs of concept (POC), many still grapple with cost and data management challenges during the AI transition.
He noted that since launching the NVIDIA-based Dell Technologies AI Factory, they’ve introduced over 100 new products and features and secured over 2,000 customers. With this portfolio upgrade, they aim to accelerate AI agent adoption.
The new Dell Technologies Pro Max, based on the GB300, features NVIDIA’s GB300 Grace Blackwell Ultra desktop super chip. This chip can train models with up to 460 billion parameters, delivering up to 20 petaflops of AI computing power and 784GB of unified memory.
The Dell Technologies Pro Max, based on the GB10, is tailored for small-scale model development, learning, and testing. It is equipped with NVIDIA’s GB10 Grace Blackwell super chip, which offers up to 1 petaflop of AI performance and 128GB of unified memory.
Dell Technologies’ PowerEdge server lineup now supports the Blackwell Ultra platform.
The PowerEdge XE8712 server, based on the GB200 NVL4 platform, can accommodate up to 144 NVIDIA B200 GPUs in the Dell Technologies IR7000 configuration. The PowerEdge XE7740 and XE7745 servers support up to eight NVIDIA H200 NVL GPUs and will soon accommodate up to eight NVIDIA RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell Server Edition PCIe GPUs.
Dell Technologies plans to launch the GB300 and GB10-based Dell Technologies Pro Max and server products later this year. The Pro Max desktops and laptops will start to be released in phases this month.
Notable Dell Technologies AI Factory adopters include InstaDeep, Samsung SDS, and Worley.
Kim Kyung Jin, CEO of Dell Technologies Korea, stated that collaboration with NVIDIA is crucial to the company’s mission of streamlining enterprise AI innovation. He added that Dell Technologies Korea’s upgraded solutions aim to lower barriers to AI adoption and facilitate faster deployments and more efficient operations.
