Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella outlined the future of user experience, productivity, and platform-wide innovation through the AI agent Copilot.
Nadella delivered a keynote speech titled “Leading in the New Age of AI” at the Microsoft AI Tour in Seoul on Wednesday.
He emphasized that AI fundamentally transforms entire industry ecosystems, noting major customer interactions and business model shifts. Nadella explained that Microsoft has developed the AI platform Copilot by leveraging its heritage as a platform company.
Nadella stated that their vision is to embed Copilot into every application users engage with. He described the Copilot platform as a seamless user interface (UI) for AI integration, extending beyond conventional software to include operating systems (OS) and browsers.
He detailed plans to amplify value through the Copilot platform using data from multiple applications.
Nadella shared data indicating that companies deploying the Copilot system have experienced a 20% boost in customer conversion rates (CVR) and significantly improved revenue from marketing campaigns.
At the event, Nadella introduced two cutting-edge AI agents, a Researcher and an Analyst, who integrated sophisticated reasoning models into Copilot.
An MS representative highlighted that the AI agent Analyst can execute tasks with simple commands, autonomously detect essential Python tools, and analyze intricate datasets. They noted that these tools can potentially empower employees with expert-level proficiency.
Emphasizing partnerships with Korean enterprises, Nadella remarked that Microsoft and KT’s collaboration in AI innovation could drive substantial economic progress in Korea.
He elaborated on the alliance, explaining that Microsoft and KT are working together to establish trust in AI, and their combined AI technologies could accelerate economic transformation in Korea.
Microsoft Korea CEO Jo Won Woo disclosed that since launching the Korean version of Microsoft Copilot last year, user numbers have expanded by 20% per week over six months, with 94% of new business initiatives during this period being AI-oriented.
Jeong Woo Jin, head of KT’s Strategic Business Consulting Division, stated that KT is leading workplace transformation as the first Korean corporation to implement Microsoft Copilot across its entire workforce. He also announced that KT is partnering with Microsoft to develop a Korea-specific AI model tailored for the B2B sector.
