South Korean contract research organization (CRO) LSK Global PS is accelerating its push into the global market by expanding beyond traditional clinical trial execution into strategic consulting and data-driven services. The company is broadening its role into that of a full-cycle clinical development partner through the launch of a physician-led consulting organization and the adoption of AI-based operational systems.

According to industry sources on July 28, LSK Global PS provides end-to-end drug development services spanning clinical strategy, regulatory affairs, medical writing, site monitoring, data management (DM), statistical analysis, pharmacovigilance (PV), and epidemiological research. As demand grows for early-stage development strategy and global market entry consulting, the company has been expanding related organizations and talent.

To support this strategy, LSK Global PS recently established a Clinical Science Development (CSD) organization composed primarily of physicians from major hospitals and the global pharmaceutical industry. The goal is to increase clients’ probability of development success by supporting investigator-centered development strategies, clinical trial design, and regulatory planning from the earliest stages.

The company has conducted more than 1,800 domestic and international clinical trials, including more than 200 global clinical studies. It has also participated in the development of approximately 15–16 drugs approved in South Korea, building substantial experience in domestic drug development.

Data management and statistical analysis are considered the company’s strongest competitive areas. Global pharmaceutical companies frequently outsource data management work separately, reflecting confidence in LSK Global PS’s ability to manage and analyze clinical data quickly and accurately. The company says this capability has become a major advantage in multinational clinical programs.

LSK Global PS has also been expanding its use of artificial intelligence. Generative AI is being applied to medical writing workflows to improve the efficiency of regulatory document preparation, while accumulated clinical data and real-world data (RWD) are being used to strengthen clinical strategy development and real-world evidence (RWE)-based research.

The company emphasizes that AI is not intended to replace clinical expertise. Instead, AI is used for repetitive tasks such as drafting documents and analyzing data, while physicians and clinical specialists remain responsible for final review and decision-making.

Expanding global partnerships across the U.S. and Europe

LSK Global PS also cites its international collaboration network as a key strength. The company has built long-term partnerships with local CROs across Asia, the United States, and Europe, enabling support for multinational clinical trials based on local regulatory knowledge and operational experience. In Asia in particular, the company says its established partnerships allow for rapid trial execution.

Its therapeutic experience is also broad. Oncology remains the largest area of clinical activity, but the company has recently expanded into obesity treatments, metabolic diseases, and rare diseases. It has also accumulated development experience in biosimilars, cell and gene therapies, and medical devices, broadening its customer portfolio.

LSK Global PS is also actively supporting domestic biotech companies. The company regularly operates networking programs that connect biotech firms with venture capital (VC) investors, providing opportunities for fundraising and business collaboration. It also facilitates meetings with overseas investigators and connects companies with global partners, effectively playing a business development (BD) role for Korean firms seeking international expansion.

As a Korea-headquartered CRO, LSK Global PS says its fast decision-making process is another competitive advantage. The company argues that issues arising during projects can be shared and resolved quickly, contributing to high satisfaction among global clients.

“Our most important role is helping Korean biotech companies conduct clinical development more quickly and reliably in the global market,” an LSK Global PS spokesperson said. “Leveraging data, AI, and our global network, we will continue enhancing our full-cycle clinical development services and establish ourselves as a leading CRO supporting the international expansion of Korean companies.”
