Shilla Duty Free has tapped global K-pop sensation ENHYPEN as its new brand ambassador, aiming to bolster engagement with both domestic and international clientele.
The luxury retailer announced on Friday that it had inked a partnership deal with BELIFT LAB, ENHYPEN’s management agency, on August 26 at its flagship store in Seoul’s Jung-gu district, officially bringing the boy band on board as its promotional face.
ENHYPEN has cemented its status as a K-pop powerhouse, clinching top honors at major award shows. The group recently notched its fifth double million-seller with their latest album release and has been making waves internationally, topping the Billboard 200 chart in the United States.
In collaboration with ENHYPEN, Shilla Duty Free is set to roll out a series of marketing initiatives, including online and offline promotions, digital content creation, and social media events. This strategic move aims to expand the brand’s reach beyond local shoppers to international tourists, leveraging the global appeal of K-pop for brand enhancement.
Industry insiders view this as part of an ongoing trend where duty-free retailers are increasingly turning to global K-pop stars to captivate foreign customers and elevate brand experiences in a competitive market landscape.
