CGBio and its subsidiary Solendos are stepping up efforts to expand in the Asia-Pacific market with a portfolio spanning spine implants, minimally invasive treatment devices, and spinal endoscopy instruments.

CGBio said it operated a joint booth with Solendos at SMISS AP 2026, an international conference on minimally invasive spine surgery held in Singapore.

It was the first time the two companies had operated a joint booth at an international medical conference since CGBio acquired a 90% stake in Solendos in December last year.

At the event, the companies showcased an integrated product portfolio covering procedures ranging from minimally invasive spine treatments and spinal endoscopic surgery to spinal fixation and fusion procedures.

CGBio exhibited its minimally invasive spine treatment device L’DISQ, spine implant VERTEON, INNOVERSE Spinal System fixation device, and Unispace Standalone C Cage cervical fusion solution.

L’DISQ is a minimally invasive spine treatment device that uses plasma energy. It features a directional electrode designed to access targeted areas inside an intervertebral disc. According to the company, attendees showed particular interest in the device’s directional control mechanism and its potential clinical applications.

Solendos showcased its TARGET Instrument Set, a set of surgical instruments used in spinal endoscopic procedures. The instruments are compatible with endoscopes offering 0-degree and 30-degree viewing angles, while the endoscopy system itself is configured separately.

During the conference, the two companies held approximately 40 consultations with medical professionals and medical-device industry representatives from 15 countries, including Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, the Philippines, and Japan.

CGBio and Solendos are also discussing product supply and market cooperation with local partners in Singapore, Malaysia, and the Philippines.

CGBio plans to expand cooperation with local partners while strengthening product training and academic marketing programs tailored to each country’s regulatory requirements and market environment.

CGBio CEO Yoo Hyun-seung said, “This joint exhibition marked the first global stage where we presented the products and technological capabilities of both companies as an integrated spine surgery portfolio following the acquisition of Solendos.”

He added, “We will strengthen the synergies among spine implants, minimally invasive treatment devices, and spinal endoscopy instruments.”

Meanwhile, CGBio is expanding its presence in the U.S. and Latin American markets through its spine and orthopedic medical-device business, connecting physician education with product demonstrations and clinical knowledge exchange.
