TWICE’s Jihyo Tapped as First master of ceremony (MC) for D Awards 2027 in Paris.
The organizing committee of D Awards announced on Thursday that Jihyo will serve as both the inaugural MC and performer for D Awards 2027 in Paris, scheduled for January 15-16, 2027, at the Plenitude Arena in Paris, France.
Alongside Jihyo, the initial performer lineup for the star-studded event includes DPR IAN, P1Harmony, KISS OF LIFE, and AND2BLE, rounding out a diverse group of five acts.
As TWICE’s charismatic leader, Jihyo is set to take the helm as the main host and showcase her solo talents. Known for her vibrant and powerful stage presence, she’s expected to energize the ceremony while dazzling the Parisian audience with her solo performance.
The event organizers expressed excitement about showcasing artists with unique styles and dynamic energy in Paris, a cultural epicenter of Europe. They promised a spectacular show that will resonate with global K-pop enthusiasts.
The committee also teased that additional hosts and performers, including Jihyo, will be revealed in the coming weeks, building anticipation for the event.
D Awards, which debuted in 2025 at Korea University’s Hwajeong Gymnasium, is making history with its third iteration by becoming the first K-pop awards ceremony to be held in Europe, marking a significant milestone in the global expansion of Korean pop culture.
