MegaZone Cloud has secured official reseller status for Amazon Web Services’ (AWS) government-exclusive cloud platform, AWS GovCloud. The company announced on Thursday its plans to enter the U.S. public and defense markets.
Leveraging this new qualification, MegaZone Cloud aims to expand its AWS operations in the U.S. The company will focus on serving local government agencies, public institutions, and sectors with stringent security regulations, such as defense and critical infrastructure industries.
For clients considering or already utilizing AWS GovCloud (US), MegaZone Cloud will offer comprehensive technical support. This includes cloud environment design, implementation, migration, and ongoing operational assistance.
The company also plans to assist domestic firms looking to penetrate industries requiring high-level security and regulatory compliance, such as defense, manufacturing, and energy. MegaZone Cloud will support these enterprises by designing and constructing AWS GovCloud (US)-based cloud environments tailored to their needs.
AWS GovCloud (US) is a specialized AWS region engineered to meet the rigorous security and regulatory compliance standards set by the U.S. government and highly regulated industries. This region, comprising multiple interconnected data centers, enables government entities and businesses to run sensitive operational systems in a secure cloud environment.
Kim Jong-chan, head of MegaZone Cloud’s Cloud Strategy Unit, stated that the extensive experience in facilitating cloud transitions and operations for public and regulated industry clients, both domestically and internationally, has honed the security and compliance expertise. It’s committed to delivering specialized consulting, implementation, and operational services to U.S. government, public sector, and defense clients who require the highest levels of security and regulatory adherence.
