LE SSERAFIM’s “BOOMPALA” has surpassed 100 million streams on Spotify.
Source Music, the group’s agency, reported on Tuesday that the title track from LE SSERAFIM’s second studio album had amassed 100,039,193 plays on the global audio streaming platform Spotify as of October 25.
This milestone was achieved in just about five months following the song’s May 22 release. With this feat, LE SSERAFIM now boasts an impressive 18 songs in their catalog that have hit the 100 million stream mark.
“BOOMPALA” delivers a powerful message: fear can be nothing more than an illusion, depending on one’s perspective and attitude. The track exudes a vibrant energy, using this realization as a springboard for positive change. It cleverly samples the global dance hit “Macarena”, infusing the song with an irresistible familiarity and catchiness.
The song’s global appeal was further cemented when it peaked at No. 10 on Billboard’s Bubbling Under Hot 100 chart for the week of June 6.
Since their 2022 debut, LE SSERAFIM has been on a roll, releasing hit tracks like “FEARLESS”, “ANTIFRAGILE”, “UNFORGIVEN”, “EASY”, “CRAZY”, “HOT”, and “SPAGHETTI”. The group dropped their second single album, PERFECT NIGHT, on September 11.
LE SSERAFIM is set to embark on their Asian tour, kicking off in Macau on November 7-8. Their upcoming shows in Taipei on November 14-15 have already sold out, showcasing the group’s growing international fanbase.
